SWIM (2.4 Miles):

The two-loop swim takes place in the calm, pristine waters of Mirror Lake, located in downtown Lake Placid. Water temperatures are typically near 70 F.

BIKE (112 Miles):

Among the most challenging on the Ironman circuit, the two-loop course weaves its way through the hills surrounding the Adirondacks and features long, steady climbs and downhill descents.  The base of Whiteface Mountain marks the beginning of an unrelenting 11-mile climb. Cyclists must tackle four back-to-back climbs (nicknamed Baby, Brother, Mama and Papa Bear) before they arrive in downtown Lake Placid to transition located in the famed speed skating oval.

RUN (26.2 Miles):

The challenging two-loop run course leads athletes through the city center four times. Runners head past the famed Olympic Ski Jumps, down to the turnaround on scenic River Road, back up to the turnaround on the shores of Mirror Lake and into the Olympic Oval toward the finish line.
